i want to move there and raise a family but i dont want the big city life. how is the cost of living and how close to D.C. where i will be working

Herndon is about 25 miles ENE of DC, but even ideally it is about a 45 minute drive. There are about 22,000 people living there today. It's not all concrete and buildings like DC. It is a nicer, less stressful area. It's not cheap when compared nationally, but when compared regionally, it is under the line. I hope this helps. Below is contact information to get you more data.
