I've known her since around kindergarten. We were pretty good friends from kindergarten to 2nd grade..then I moved and never saw her until this school year. We are in tenth grade now..and I sorta liked her in elementary school. Now that we are a bit older the whole "liking" thing isn't as "ooo he likes her/him hahaha" stuff anymore..everytime I see her she smiles at me, but I'm sure she probably just sees me as a friend. I want to ask her to homecoming..so should I straight ask her..or should I apply some other strategy? I still like her, but I just broke up with my girlfriend around a week ago. I'm over it now, but I don't know if she will go with me because I think my ex is one of her good friends, (not best friends though). Any advise,ideas,etc?

Go straight to her. If she is cool, she will appreciate your honesty. Maybe she sees you as a friend, but that can be a nice start for a relationship. Just go, be casual and normal, and ask her about the homecoming. Ask her if she's going, and if she's going with someone. Be cool, and let her talk, and then ask if she'd go with you. Don't care about your ex, she doesn't matter here. Good luck!

Well spend a little bit of time with her and watch how she acts around you and if she flirts or teases you then yes she does like you and you should ask her then. If she doesn't then maybe just wait for her to come around..I am sure she will. If you just take a chance and ask her then you never know if she will say yes. I say go for it!

Well, if I were you, I would just be honest and say how you feel. Something along the lines of " Hi (name), I was wondering if you would be my date to homecoming?" and try to smile at the end and don't be nervous, if she says no its your loss not hers, and find someone else to go with. Good luck!

ask her as a friend, then at the dance bring up the possiblitiy of making it more. u could even make it funny like "u no i had the biggest crush on u in elementry" she'll go "how sweet... blah balh" u go "i nvr really got over it".... and so on
