Fisrt of all......a hammer will not screw nails on the wall.
You can hit a nail on the wall with a hammer?...but not screw a nail.

But, if you wish to get a 'nail' to go into a wall...then you may have to borrow a hammer....It never works with anything else,really...Or you could buy a hammer, they really are not that expensive, and it will come in handy later......

Use your head girl, well not literally. A hammer is just something really hard with a handle on it for ease of use. Therefore, anything hard will do. Just make sure it's not too big and your careful or you could knock a hole in the wall.

If you banging nails into a wall, try a high heeled shoe. Stilettos work well. If you are screwing it in, use a butter knife.
