I like this girl at work. She is older than me 5 years. My friend, who is 2 years younger than me, is saying that he wants to help me out with her but I personally think he wants to get in her panties. My feelings for her are serious but I dont think he is serious. I am just about an average looking guy and he is a well built hunk (playboy!). She hasn't given any clear indication as to whether she likes either him or me. What can I do in a situation like that? Try or quit? If so, why?

You need to ask the lady out. Men like your friend think they are so wanted by every woman.. I am sure she would rather have a man that wants to be with her, and do things, not a man that wants to bed her, and go to the next person. so take that chance ask her out.. If it dont go, then u know you took the first step.. Good luck......

You don't say how old you are .. which would have been helpful . I would just let her know of your interest .. ask her out for coffee or whatever. The other guy .. let him handle it the way he wants to .. she may have no interest in him at all .. why even worry about him "helping" you or not ? You don't need his help .. just start a conversation with her .. you will know pretty soon if she is interested in you as a friend or more. Good Luck ! :)

it wouldnt hurt to try and ask her out on a date
if you dont then you'll be left with "what could have been"
i wouldn't worry about your "hunk" friend im sure he will
get over it since hes a "playboy" heh.

don't let him get involved, that's for sure. I say that because most women find confidence appealing and even if she hadn't looked at him that way before, it might turn her head towards him. I say, make a move, a subtle one, and see what happens. Life's too short to spend it on what if's
