My son was treated with homoeopathic remedies for eczema as a baby, it is a long and difficult process skin complaints are notoriously difficult to treat. He now has lovely sikn if he doesn't eat to much dairy products.

If you chose this path make sure you visit a homoeopath and not just pick up bits from the health shop, as you will need the homoeopath to know the child's base remedy and what will suit its type.

Hi there will be a treatment for eczema i dont know which one you will have to go to the herbal shop near you and ask what they recommend, They will have something and it will probabley work better that others. Also Dream Cream from Lush is good for eczema. But homeopathic treatments are really good.

My little boy had eczema on his cheeks. I was not sure what method to use but I didn't want to make my boy go through any surgery treatments at this young age. Some suggested a plastic surgeon since it was in a very visible location but our family doctor recommend this natural guide.

Best Eczema Treatment?

Eczema technically speaking is Psoriasis which is systemic, this
means that all treatment, some more than others, can bring
relief but not cure. Unfortunately the quickest relief comes after
a dose of a cortisone injection, it relieves the itch and the scabs,
but there are so many counter indications I think it best not to
use cortisone. Stick with your homoeopathic treatment and hope for
the best. The nervous system also plays a big role in calming the
itching, the more you scratch the worse it gets.

I think iain has good info about the systemic cause of eczema. The reading I have been doing indicates the systemic cause to be a candida fungus - aka yeast. Believe it or not, the stuff that causes vaginitis, athlete's foot, thrush, ringworm, and jock itch can also cause eczema, psoriasis and other stuff too gross to discuss.

I am under a candida cleanse diet for 9+ months and am doing better. Yogurt and the acidophilous bactera it contains it one way as are homeopathic antifungals, but I understand the candida fungus can get resistant to treatment.

www.hufa.org has some basic info at the yeast link.

Depends on what approach the homoeopath takes, some use drugs and chemicals in their 'mixes'.

If it addresses replacing missing complex carbohydrates and allowing the transfer of data to take place, the compromised immune function (which is the root cause) can easily be repaired.

Avoid drugs and chemicals of any description, they just serve to exacerbate the situation. Drink at least 2 litres of bottled still mineral water daily (it is not a hype, it is a fact).
Avoid Aspartame like the plague, and the same goes for Caffeine.

Take care now.

Some people produce less wax than others. I have a similar problem with my ear. I have some kind of infection but need to have my ears syringed to treat it. I am using bicarbonate of soda ear drops for a week to soften the wax and then go back and have them syringed. I've had it done before man years ago and dont recall it being a bad experience hence the relaxed attitude to it now. Dont worry so much, its only washing water into yout ears.

yes, if all else fails..my wife had excema, bad scaly patches.. she bathed in sage water. (boil-simmer) around 1oz in a pint of water for a few hours, drain and strain. add the liquid to the bathwater..just a couple or three glugs, half a cup full..and use porrige oats, in an old stocking to wash with... (it swells when wet so only use half a cup of dry ingredients)

my wifes skin is a whole lot clearer these days...

good luck
