If you had any work experience at all before your tour of duty you should include any and every job you had. This is all counted toward your final claim. No matter how small or short the job or what the pay. Someone should have helped you with this. The social security office may be able to help although it doesn't sound like they have as yet. How can anyone live on 89$ a month in this country? My god! That's just crazy! You deserve special treatment in light of your service. But you know, our congressmen and other gov workers 'need' large salaries so much more than you who actually put your lives on the line, right? WRONG!!! Please know that there are many of us out here who believe you and are trying to fight the injustices you are still enduring.

Yeah, I feel for you. I'm actually quite surprised at how well you've been holding up for the past quarter of a century. I read in Maxim a while ago about how Purple Heart recipients from the current Gulf War are just tossed aside by the government. And I'm talking about people who have lost limbs in that conflict. Some things never change...

If that ever happened to me (knock on wood), I would've probably gone on a shooting spree out of frustration. You, sir, are a true warrior in life, and a credit to your country.

I agree with you that the government is a mess. Too many people are killed or maimed for foolish reasons. The way I've always felt is; if leaders of governments have problems with each other, then why don't THEY all meet somewhere and fight it out with each other, instead of so many innocent people having to die. Then, the military personnel who DO survive, are either physically, mentally and/or both, messed up for the rest of their life with very little help. It's awful.
