Every illegal is now claiming they only do jobs americans won't do,which is a crock of manure, with stolen social security numbers they can get any job anywhere anytime, what they leave out is that they are using social services that some US citizens can't get, they are also rewarded with having their own bilingual teachers for their children, something no other ethnic group even dreamed of,our government is still fighting for health care for every US citizen, yet illegals can go to any hospital, get treated, and don't have to pay one cent, since there is no history on that person, how can you charge them,a US citizen will get his pay garnished if he refuses to pay his bills. Why is this government turned against it's own people

The American government just did not want to deal with this problem and I guess they thought we would not notice all the illegal immigrants running around, so they just did nothing. Now this problem has festered up to the point they have to do something. The criminals do pay sales tax when they purchase over the counter products (just like Ted Bundy did, but that did not make him a law abiding citizen); however; the do not pay Social Security tax or federal taxes (which are the funds they drain with the free benefits they receive).

Yeah! Most of us who are paying attention know this.
What to do about it?
The Feds and State guys are starting to figure out we know about this poop too, and they are doing spin tactics to make us think or believe they are doing something about it. All well and good as far as it goes.
I am skeptical but I am watching carefully to see who really does what and to determine what is real and what is just so much hot air.
The Republicans are seeming to make more dust and noise about this than the Democrats so, if they are for real, they have my support (funky as the Repubs. tend to be). The Democrats are out to lunch as it seems to be their position (if not spoken) in actions, that the illegals somehow have a justifiable place here in America now that they have entered the country illegally and are working here.
The Democrats are desperate to win back a place in government and if they can't get illegals made legal to vote for them, they don't have much of a chance, is what I perceive is going on.
The coruption in our system of government is pervasive on so many different levels it is hard to determine what to start to throw out first.
Time will tell I suppose. The unequal devisive system we are tolerating wherein there are two standards of justice that are seperate and unequal is one; for Americans who pay and are punished for misdeeds and breaking the law and then the other; for illegal immigrants wherein they can do as they please, break the law, use our tax dollars for their own purposes and families, many of whom are here illegally and walk away scott free.
That's what has been happening in America for some time now.
Truth of the matter is, if things are not changed, it will bankrupt America and many Americans with it.

It's seriously effecting the hospital industry...ER's are closing all over mostly because of illegals. Remember they send alot of their money back to Mexico which is why America is the 2nd largest source of income for them. I'm sure American tourism is number one. They might pay for sales tax but don't forget about the welfare system that supports them as well. This economy is going to start looking like a third world nation pretty soon beings we are paying 45 billion (with a B) per year.

Great point!!! they say they do the work Americans wont do, but they sent their money to Mexico so what's the use in that?? Throwing our money away, our government is only concerned about the Hispanic vote, because they breed like rabbits and will be the largest race here real soon

exactly. america worked just fine before they were here. people DID take the jobs for fair wages. people might have to pay a little more for fruit but 99% of americans would be willing to to stop this huge problem. we cant let this turn into a second mexico. the world doesn't need another.

Here's a thought. It may be true that they are doing jobs SOME americans won't do but who's hiring them? Other illgegal aliens or cheap *** American employers who pay them shyt wages without having to withhold income and social security taxes, which by the way then also don't have to match those taxes.

I agree. I think that bush is trying to take care of the illegal imm. problem. Just give it sometime time and hope that bush does something to have all the illegals sent back to mexico or cuba. wherever their from. It is a very big problem in our country b.c they are taking some much work from people including me.

Whoa! There's no point in going through this rant and ticking off the errors, inconsistencies and downright fallacies, but the point you seem to have missed is that when the immigrants take a job -- any job -- taxes are taken off at source. When they purchase food, or gas or clothing, taxes are added on at point of purchase. So what gives you the notion that they don't pay taxes?

I agree that the "hidden costs" of our open door policy will soon outweigh our ability to pay for them.
Emergency room visits, education costs and judicial costs to care for, teach and incarcerate criminal immigrants are a burden that gets overlooked in all the "American Dream" hyperbole.
Better to allow "guest workers" who are law-abiding to live and work here. The government of Mexico should be in charge of healthcare costs for it's workers who send a large amount of their wages back there to family.
