I've been talking with this guy for 5 months. He says he wants to start going out but hasn't asked me yet. He says he wants a wife, visits me at evening, we talk and laugh and so, (no sex). He brings up marrying me often but says we're just friends. Would you walk (break off the friendship) at this point?

He might not know how you feel for him!! If being freinds is all you want then he needs to know that. But if you have feelings for this guy and want him to ask you out then give let him know that you want the next level of your friendship.

he's playing the field while you're sitting around waiting for him is what it sounds like to me, but to answer your question there are many different tests that guys give out, some last a few minutes and some can only be determined over the course of a few years, my suggestion is ocnfront him about it tell him that it makes you feel uncomfortable talking about marriage all the time but being just friends

Is there something wrong with being friends? I would think it is great to have friends and if one of those friends eventually becomes more than a friend you got where you wanted. Being in love or a relationship means you are doing so with your best friend. So friendship is the beginning.

it sounds a bit crazy. but since you are not having sex. DONT. AND he says he wants to marry you but you are friends, if you like him hang in there you have nothing to lose. if you find another guy and want to date him do so by all means and then see if he wants to be friends or marry you. right now you havent nothing to lose or worry about. guys vl test a girl for two main things... tats mainly about her character and then abt her relation with boys... a guy vl be conducting so many testing to make sure tat the girl is having no relation with other boys.... then he vl check abt her chareacter,, he vl check whether she is loving or nt and all
