OK, first, read about the lives of famous occultists:
http://usminc.org/famous.html
Then decide if it's worth persuing. If you want to wind up broke and forgotten, go for it!
If there is any truth to the old saying "Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.", that truth is found in the occult, and Wicca in particular. Silver Ravenwolf has written close to a dozen books on the subject of "The Craft", and claims she has been studying it since about 1969, which is almost as long as I’ve been alive. She has written a book on how to cast money spells, and includes a chapter on how to do so in her Teen Witch book. But the thing is, she doesn't particularly sound all that prosperous herself. Ravenwolf writes,
" For years I couldn't afford to go to a hair stylist (still can't, it's shop and chop for me). I got pretty good at stying my own hair from looking at magazine pictures" [SOURCE: Teen Witch, Llewellyn Publications, 2003 edition, page 145]
OK, she so rich she can't go to the hairdresser. Hey, get me a copy of that Prosperity Spell book!
Silver Ravenwolf seems to have inadvertently discovered that Wicca makes things worse, but won't ever admit it as such.
In Teen Witch she says
"A lot of people tell me how bad their lives have gotten after casting a spell and tell me they won't do Witchcraft anymore. I tell them their lives would have been much worse for not having cast the spell".
Gee Silver, you would think a lot of people would be saying things like "Hey, Silver Ravenwolf, my life has improved tremendously with Wicca!" if Wicca is as great as they claim. Instead it makes lives much worse, and even Silver Ravenwolf admits she hears this a lot!!!
Why? Because sometimes, things are just as you think they are. Most average people will tell you the occult deals with black magic and demons, and demons are evil beings who wish us harm. This is how it is my friend. The occult is evil, and brings bad happenings into a person's life, and Wicca is an occult religion. When you stop trying to rationalize it with inaccurate data and just use common sense you will realize this. Some occultists are of above average intelligence, and I think part of the problem is they have book smarts but not common sense. There are two forces at work in this universe: the counterfeit and the genuine. Wicca’s source of power is not the genuine. There’s just simply no way Wicca (and thus the copycat Neopagan religions) can be created from the black magic writings of “The Great Beast 666", the bizarre sexual practices of Gardner, the spiritual “guidance” of the Watchers (fallen angels) and still be a source of good!
None of the people who will answer your question can make it work either, Don't delude yourself. It's an incredible waste of time and money, and it's spiritual poison.

Yes. But, The Flying Cow Factory of Inner True Very Private Knowledge (TFCFITVPK) doesn't like sharing its secrets... It's all hush-hush. Because the last girl we gave a love spell to sort of ruined our plans in Egypt... They say her name was Cleo-something. Anyway. Yeah. We don't do the sharing of the spells anymore. Wokay? Even if we do do it - the MIB will just come and erase your memory... Yeah... there was some inter-species mumbo trouble with a love spell too... Created a monster... Dracula-something. See? So much trouble. Some creatures are attracted to love spells so strongly - they may come and eat your brains out of pure love! That'll be bad... So - no love spells for you! Hehe. Sorry. It just - burst out of my head! Too-tempting-oh-so-tempting. Sorrrrrrrry! Don't put much stock in spells, sweetie pie. They won't help. They may drive you off your rocker. Just a lot of useless candley-smoke-and-weeds mumbo-jumbo. If they were real, Voldey baby and I would be brainstorming on ways to kill Harry. I say this, with best best intentions, try something a little more concrete... Something that is in YOUR hands and is under your control and trust me - that'll work :) I wish you luck!

Love spells do work, but trust me: it's NOT worth doing. Seriously, the effects can be disastrous. Love magick is considered black magick, UNLESS the magick is being used to enhance synergy between a couple deluded with problems with the threat of being torn apart.
As far as you having poor luck with them...where are you getting your incantations from? A lot of the "love spell" books at bookstores are total hoaxes. In fact, most of the magick books at bookstores are hoaxes and/or totally inaccurate.

No spells work.
You know what works in love? An honest, open heart; genuine tenderness and selfless concern for the other.

I'm against the kind of love spells that you would cast on SOMEONE ELSE to make them fall in love with you. That's borderline mind control and the karma is terrible.
But there is an herbal charm to attract love. Use a circle of rose-colored cloth. Fill it with acacia flowers, myrtle, rose petals or buds, jasmine flowers, and lavender. Add a red felt heart and a copper coin or ring (a penny will do). Tie it with blue thread or ribbon in seven knots.
To charge an herbal charm, assemble all your materials on your altar, cast a Circle, light a pink candle and burn incense. Then raise the energy. In a mortar and pestle, grind together all the herbs for your charm. Visualize the image or emotion you desire, and project it into the herbs as you grind them together.
Gather together the herbs and other objects into the cloth. Twist the top around them and tie it once with thread. Breathe on the charm to charge it with air. Pass it through the candle flame to charge it with fire. Sprinkle a few drops of water on it to charge it with water. Dip it into salt, or touch it to your pentacle to charge it with earth.
Hold it in your hands, breathe on it, and charge it fully with all the energy you can raise, concentrating on your visualization. Drop to the ground, relax, and earth the power. Bind the spell, tying it as you do so, and open the Circle.
