I weaned my son slowly off his formula. For an 8 ounce bottle, we would do 2 oz milk, 6 oz formula. After about 3-5 days, I did 3 oz milk, 5 oz formula, and so on until my son was completely off the formula. I probably could have went a little faster, b/c he didn't really seem to notice or care, but I think I was worried he would wake up hungry in the night, b/c he didn't get that formula before bed. Now I'll sit him down for a little night time snack - usually fruit, or a fruit bar, about a 1/2 hour before bed, and that way he feels a little more full! Good Luck!

I substituted a little whole milk for fourmula each day for about a week. I made the forumula as normal and then poured out some formula and replaced it with milk. I started with an ounce and the just poured out / added more each day.
The only problem I remember was when she was done with the formula and on the milk she started to have a little problem with constipation. The doctor said it sometimes that happens when they go to whole milk, so just try to get some extra water in during the day so your daughter doesn't have the same problem.
But all in all It worked out well and today at three my daughter just loves her milk!

I am not a parent but I work in a daycare. I hope that i can help you. What my co-worker and I do is introducing whole milk a little bit at a time. What this means is put some whole milk in with her formular. I suggest you to put a little more milk into her formular every other day. Keep on doing this and she should be off from her formular in no time. I am pretty sure that this would work because we have done this so many times that I can't count.

After my daughter was a year we just gradually introduced it into her diet until she was completely off the formula. I just sort of made this method up my self since I figured switching from one to the other cold turkey could upset her stomach. I believe I started with 1 bottle a day for the first week and then 2 the second week and finally by the 3rd week she was completely on milk. It seemed to work for us. Be prepared for stinky diapers from now on. Good luck.

When my daughter and son were around 11 months old we started mixing their bottles with half formula and half milk. They drank it just fine. Then when they turned a year old we just gave them whole milk and had no problems. Good luck!

when I started my son on the whole milk he still had about a 1/2 can of formula left so I mixed the formula like normal and added just a couple of oz of the milk to it to get him used to it, and he did fine.

I started both my kids on whole milk by first mixing it with their cereal once a day. As long as they don't react to having it once a day, you should be able to increase the amount with no problem. After the cereal I started with a small amount in a sippy cup and increased it from there.

Ive seen alot of people say they slowly mixed it into formula and would do less formula and more milk. Personally I gave my daughter a cup of milk and she was fine with it.
