I must say I am very lucky to have always attracted the right kind of guys, guys who are sensitive and strong. The thing is that when I am in a relationship, I dont really want to be showered with too much affection or attention like calling each other daily, or sending flowers regularly etc. However I love to focus on the kind of real love that you can feel in someone's presence, as long as I feel that, I dont care abt the frills. Is this wrong somehow or does it mean I just like having my space? I hear all the girls wanting guys to call them up often and shower them with gifts etc. Am I somehow insecure or just too emotionally secure?

No there is nothing wrong with it. It can sometimes be claustrophobic having some one phone all the time, shower with gifts e.t.c. I know i like my space and find myself wanting to get away when men start trying to do all the things you are talking about.
I think you just like your space and you are secure enough not to need constant reminding of how the person likes you i.e showering of gifts.

You're taking your time and not forcing yourself into a situation. Good for you. It seems most people want to get too involved right from the start instead of enjoying the opportunity of having many light relationships. When the time is right and the right person comes along it gets very obvious. Then is the time to commit to one.

You like your space but at the same time you aren’t about material things as a show of affection and the space is also good to establish a greater bond of trust.

its just the opposite, this shows that u are totally secure, emotional or otherwise. u don't need a guy to no that u r loved and important.
plus, no guy really wantst o have to shower a girl w/ gifts and call her everyday just so he can go out w/ her. its a total drag for them
