Have you taken her to the vet? Periodic hairballs are not a cause for concern. Throwing up every day is...especially if she is losing weight. She may have a serious problem. Make an appt. as soon as possible. You and your cat will feel better.

I would immediately switch her to a higher quality food without any CORN. Most inexpensive foods are 2/3 corn and it is a common allergen for cats and dogs.
See if you can find CA Natural, that is chicken and rice only. Please click on my name at the icon for the proper "recipe" in switching dry cat foods. It is important to follow this gradual process of changing foods to avoid refusals of the better food, tummy upsets or diarrhea.
Natural Balance has venison and pea mixture, also dry foods with chicken and rice. Nature's Variety (Prairie) uses rice in their formulation, not corn.
This "experiment" should help with the vomiting situation, not good for the cat long-term because the constant acid coming up from the stomach can damage her esophagus. If you feel hairballs are a real problem (and on a quality food they are not) then use the laxatone from the the pet store several times a week.

from my experience with cats so far i can tell you that if she throws up every day this can have several causes:
1. tonsillitis - can get aggravated if you don’t take her to the vet
2. warms - easy to treat if you take her to the vet. if you don't, you might get them too.
3. ulcer - serious condition - take her to the vet urgently
4. some form of poisoning - she might have taken a bite from a poisoned mouse or something, she might have licked some cleaning solution you use in the house - if you have even the slightest suspicion that this could be the cause, take her to the vet urgently!
5. food allergy - either you changed something in her menu or the food wasn't fresh.
these are only the possible causes i know, but I'm not a vet. please, if you can afford it, take her to a vet, especially since she is loosing weight! if you can't afford taking her to a vet, ask for support from the local centre for animal rescue.

Throwing up all day is not due to a hairball. If she/he has been ill for more than a day or two you need to go to the vet. Cats dehydrate very quickly.

Take her to the vet immediately. It could be something more serious than hairballs. My cat was throwing up a lot and when I took him to the vet it was cancer.

go to a vet it could be a blockage in the intenial track it could be a an allergic reaction to the food go to the vet now. I lost my cat this way because Las Vegas s the most animal hating city in america and I was a few dollars short of the visit fee so every vet I called said if you dont bring in your cat he'll die and they let him die. So go to the vet if you have money.

A Vet would be my first thought......how old is she? Then take her to a vet, but i had to but my old cat down bc he couldn't keep anything down, and in my eyes i was toturing him slowly. Consider her age and id shes real young...a vet should be able to tell u. But if you don't do anything, you can just imagine how crappy she feels.

If this is dry food, try soaking it in water for 30 minutes or so before you feed it to her. My cat used to puke up his dry food because I guess it expanded in his stomach once it met with the "juice" in his stomach-- he was sort of bulemic-- eat too much then puke it up. But not when he ate wet food.
