you eventually die a horrific death, starting with loosing all motor skills and mental capabilities, people look at you like you're a selfish freak who is materialistic and only cares about yourself and what people think of your image.

For the first few days you will get really hungry from time to time .. and will feel gut cramps. You may get a pounding headache and your thinking will get strange .. you may experence a "chicken little" effect that the whole world is caving in. It might be difficult to stay calm.
The stomach will shrink too. So when one eats, one will feel full far faster.
The body will go after muscle and fat reserves and the body will use food more effecently .. so it will need less to survive .. and then weight loss will be more difficult .. this is why one is told to continue excercising.
The body will also want you to sleep .. and not move . being awake and moving about burns energy.
All this going after fat and muscle wil also release toxins .. so one needs water to carry them away.
Most people can fast 1 to 3 days without difficulties. Even then with this short amount of time, one should start on broth and toast and juice to bring the body up to speed. Of course I have been told if you want to be a cheap drunk .. fast for 3 days and then drink a beer or two. I am told, not done it my self, that it is an incredible rush (and dangerous)

If you are looking for personal experiences for your project, I may be able to help...or not. I was considered a "fasting bulemic" for 20 years...that is when I would refuse to eat...actually I trained my body to not swallow food (I felt like I was going to choke). Of course I lost weight, but what I didn't realize was that my stomach acid was at full strength as it had no food to digest, so I had an ulcer and along with the acid effect it ate away the enamel of my teeth. I ended up getting full dentures a the age of 34 because of it. Then my last bout of bulemia I ended up burning out my thyroid gland causing me to have hypothyroidism and I gained 50 lbs. and can't take it off, even if I starve! I am actually considered a mild case of eating disorder. Starving myself was how I did it. I wish I never had. It's amazing what low self esteem & low self worth will make people do. I'm feeling much better now!

When the body is starved the body does not have adequate fuel for it's systems, and must turn to reserves. This means that the body will use up protein that the muscles need in order to maintain themselves. This affects the heart muscle as well as the muscles that are used for movement. It can result in a disruption in the menses in females (which can significantly affect the reproductive system later) and can lead to early onset of osteoporosis. You can search for anorexia nervosa in researching this topic further.

Well, your body breaks down all the fat that is available and then starts in on the protein in your body. Your muscles, heart, and internal organs are broken down for energy.
Your body is deprived of nutrients and breaks down and finally ceases to live. To rush things along, stop drinking water too.
Pretty gruesome and damaging to the body.
I hope you do not mean that you are starving yourself for a school project.

starving yourself
1. you don't get the proteins and vitemins
2. your body starts to eat itself starting with the fat and then the muscles
3. your body does not get enough and will start shutting parts of your body down
4. and if a person starts eating a lot it could kill them. since they have starved themselves for so long the body can't take a huge increase in food.
5. also most of the time you retain water which is bad

i'd think you'd probably feel like you're going to die if you starve too long. otherwise, you'll just feel stomach cramps.
