I am looking to source some reindeer meat to have at a special event, i know i can get it in Norway but dont know whether there is anyone in the UK that sells it; or anyone that imports it from Scandinavia

NB Reindeer meat and venison (deer) are two completely different types of meat - have eaten both so know!

I had a look online for you and found this...
Fortnum and Mason, which holds three Royal Warrants, began selling reindeer paté at £15 a jar and shredded meat stew for £14 around a month ago.
that might be all you can get int the UK...

The only place in the UK to have Reindeer (live ones!) is in the Cairngorms in the Scottish Highlands. I'm not sure if they farm them for meat though.

there is a continental fair that travels round england. It has lots of exotic meat and things like wild boar and reindeer. U could try that. Type it in on google 2 see if its near u

I think it can be brought at a butcher's shop on Mapperley Top, You have to live in Nottingham to know where that is! They sell any kind of meat imaginable, though it may have to be ordered in for you.

Can you wait until November, when there will definitely be some at the Finnish Seamen's Mission in Rotherhithe, London? http://events.skyteam.com/sisp/index.htm?fx=event&event_id=21575. I have been there many times, so can vouch for its presence there!

My wife said you could get venison in Glasgow fish market, don't know if other fish markets have it.
