Avast at avast.com or AVG at grisoft.com. I think you have register for avast to get the free updates. I use both of them at the same time, so far without any adverse interactions between them. Be sure and look for the free versions, because they both offer versions that you pay for.

AVG is the best virus protection software and it's FREE. Use the link below to download a copy of the free software for personal use only on one computer.
Yahoo Tool Bar has the best Anti-Spy software.
I also use the Tool Internet options to remove Cookies and Temporary Internet files before running the Anti-Spy program.

AVG free edition works for me. Its not heavy on your system. It does the job.
