My friends always tell me that I'm good looking and I don't hope to be flattered too much by it. It does make me insecure sometimes feeling this way as guys talk and befriend me for my looks and not for who I am. So guys, do you think you befriend someone just for looks and not for who they are?

Looks may be the start—and they may be in the eye of the beholder—but it is who the two of you are over time that makes for a relationship of importance.

If a GUY is telling you everything that you want to hear, RUN... do not walk... in the opposite direction as you are probably being "played". If a guy is polite and nice to you there are ways you can work thing out between the two of you. Looks are a biological inidicator of good health, so being attracted to a good looking mate is normal - just let what is going on between the ears guide your most critical decisions as to who you want to be with in a mate... his ears, and yours too.

you looks are a part of who you are, they will open doors for you and make it desirable to get to know you, all you have to do is pay attention to these people and find out what makes them tick, if they're not really your frined they'll prove it to you in one way or another, but no i dont befriend someone unless i like who they are

Guys don't "befriend" girls unless they are not attracted to them, are trying to get into their pants but are too much of a wimp to say it, or they are gay.

I think it is part of the initial attraction yes. But it won't for long sustain a relationship based only on that..

In my younger years YEP! I would try to be friends with all the hot girls to try and score with them. As I got older it did not matter how people looked.
