I use it in place of a negative 'maybe'. Or in place of 'I don't know'. Or in place of 'That sounds like a bad idea' when an actual bad idea is presented to me.

I think it has many uses. Although I could just be another idiot saying whatever pops into my head.

eh is Canadian's and English peoples way of saying "wouldn't you agree" sore of like we say Huh? or "well what do you think?"
