Now as He [that’s Jesus] sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.”
Matthew 24:3-7

People say we always have had wars and famine but read on

“All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Matthew 24:8

The word Jesus uses for sorrows is the word “odin” which translated means contractions or labor pains.

The closer the contractions the sooner the arrival

What are the three areas that Jesus said to watch out for?

Religious world
Political world
Natural world

Religious World:
It is estimated that about 1000 people in America alone claim they are Jesus

Political World:
In the 20th century over 200 million people died as a result of war
There are 38 armed conflicts going on in 28 nations
Terrorist attacks in 2003 totaled 175. It rose to 655 in 2004

Natural World
Almost 1/6 of the world’s population can’t meet basic nutritional needs
Pestilence- AIDS, SARS, Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease, West Nile Virus
The Hurricanes of the past few yrs
In the first 1500 yrs after Jesus the earth averaged about 2 major earthquakes each century
But it made a dramatic increase over the next 4 centurites until it reached about 130 in the 1900s

I believe it.

2 Timothy 3:1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night

I believe we are in the last days. You can see the signs everytime you turn on the news. The verses in 2nd Timothy definitely describe society today.

Yes, we are definately in the last days. All the signs are here now, wars, rumors of wars, pestilence, earthquakes in places that has never had them before, worse weather all the time, tornados, hurricanes and such. Knowledge increased. Look at all of them and you will see every one is abounding today. So best be ready and study your bible rather than just believeing what any man says, even your pastor.

It looks as if we're very close now. Checkout the free booklet "Are We Living In The Time Of The End?" at http://www.gnmagazine.org/booklets/ET/ The United Church of God puts out other excellent booklets on Bible prophecy you might want to checkout too.

I believe that most all of us alive today will not see the end, but I do believe we are closer to the ending than to the beginning.

get a life and stop worrying, if it comes it comes if not then you have worried for nothing and you will be old and grey before you realise that, enjoy life to the full now and not worry about the future it is too short a life to worry over anything, ask my bank manage he worries all the time I dont.
