yep. there could also be corruption too, especially, for financial gain, one party "knows" somebody in the testing lab. you should get a test done by your own lab just in case.

DNA is pretty accurate... if you feel there may have been a lab mixup or something- ask for another test. You can ask for as many as will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that that person fathered the child. 99.9% is considered the highest accuracy rate of DNA, and it is either you are the father, or not at all. There is no gray area with DNA. Just because a child has no physical characteristics or behaviors of the father has no bearing on whether or not the child is biologically his. My daughter does not look anything like her dad... and so far has not exhibited any of his mannerisms- and yet, he was biologically proven in a court that he fathered her (not that there was any question- he knew he was the only person I had been with). As a matter of fact, she has mannerisms of her stepdad, whom she has been with since she was 3 (she is now 7). Again, if you think there was a mistake- take another test, but if your results say that it is 99% accurate, then you are the father.

Not likely... paternity testing is pretty much 100% positive, you can't get any better answers... you may want to try a second test, but im sure the testing results will be the same!!
It could be possible that maybe the child is around another man more, so acts more like him, then the father.... that would explain the childs behaviour and charecteristics.... Good luck!

Yes, you can get a false positive but only if the non-father is genetically similar to the real father. The obvious case is if the father has an identical twin. A biological father may or may not look / act like his son.

Other possibilities for a false positive are contamination of the sample with another persons DNA or human error in data handling.

All of these are very unlikely.

There is a 8% chance the test was wrong. They can take hair samples too to do dna testing now. Or take a swap of fluids in the mouth from the man and child and do dna testing that way as well

It doesnt matter whether the child looks or acts like the man, it can still be his regardless. The child is a being of its own with its own personality and own characteristics.

If you wanna do a second test somewhere else, go ahead.

Dont base it cause the child has no physical or behavior characteristics

dna testing is 99%accurate like everyone else says unless you have an identical twin his dna would be the same as yours step up and be a man and a father just because you dont want to be a dad doesnt mean your not you should have thought about all this before you had unprotected sex grow up already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, DNA doesn't lie. Just because someone father's a child doesn't mean that they are going to behave like the man.

DNA is not 100% fool proof but the odds are even better if you get two done.

There is that TINY percentage but its VERY unlikey. Sometimes a moms characteristics dominate.
My kid looks just like me, only things in common with her father are her colouring, light then mine and they both have third nipples.
