most people, black, white, yellow, orange, whatever are good caring human beings, whether they are christian, buddhists, muslims, atheists...
it the minority of people that are hateful, and they grew up that way...
the best we can do is to perform random acts of kindness so they will also, help someone fix a flat, open a door for a handicap, speak kindly to others
it's a domino effect..

Good question. Free choice to follow God's rules or not. You also have to realize that some people will say one thing and do another. You also so must accept that human beings have been extremely cruel to each other using God's name as justification.
Doesn't the term "Holy War" seem like an oxymoron?
The history of christians in this area isn't very good, take the Crusades for example or the Spanish Inquisition or the treatment of the Incas in S. America.
The circumstance is complicated by people that say their god gives them the right to kill people that refuse to convert to their religion. We generally call them "fanatics" today but they're still willing to kill you.
You have a grand idea but I doubt that human beings will ever completely adopt your perspective, history is not on your side. Hopefully, God is.

This a really good question. GOD has given us free will to choose. Deut30th 1920vs. The reason for the hate is because we choose to do so out of ignorance and not seeking the GOD of Abraham, Issac,Jacob. We will not allow our selves to open our eyes and ears to the truth and seek GOD for our salvation. I am not into religion of any kind that is man made. I seek the word of GOD and it can be found if we are willing to search the scriptures.

The problem is that different people have different ideas of what constitutes serving God. This problem would not arise if there actually were a God rather than whatever gets dredged up from people's imagination.

Nice idea, but hundreds of millions of people have been killed in the name of one god or another. As nice and loving as your god might be in the stories you've read, religious people as a group are violent, murderous and hateful.

The "problem" is that humans have free will. And choosing to love, forgive and to be kind doesn't seem to be an easy thing to do for the majority of the human race.

Because originally we were all working off of the ONE CONSCIOUSNESS which means we all feel eachother, the earth, god and the universe....only when we were bestowed with free will and individual consciousness did we really start blowing **** up!! Watch out for 2012, the ascension is upon us......

I am a christian too. People from other religions believe that either theirs is better, or that their god is better, but in reality, its all the same, the hate comes from the differences.

all our Gods tell us what we want to hear, and so they tell us to hate the others, it's a competition among the gods.
but if you think that there is a God of universal love, I say check your history.
