It's quite possible, depending on where you live, and that States definition of drunk driving.
In my town it would get you a ride home, for your own safety. Or, you decide to be an idiot as well as a drunk, you will get nailed for public intoxication and spend the night in the county drunk tank.

there become a action picture clip on law enforcement officers that confirmed a guy being suggested for making use of his driving lawnmower on a public highway on an identical time as intoxicated. So, i might wager you would be suggested as some states manage bicycles the comparable as a motorized vehicle (even nevertheless they do no longer look to be motorized) in case you have been caught on a thoroughfare. in any different case, in all probability public intoxication.

It all depends on the state laws and your city ordinance laws, but since you bike is not a "motor vehicle" it should not affect your license to operate a motor vehicle. If you think about it anyone including a 5 year old can operate a bicycle.

The impaired laws refer to motor vehicles, not to bicycles. So you are correct. But personally, driving a bicycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, strikes me as a shortcut to the emergency ward.

You can get a citation in most states for dui, because you are a danger to others and yourself. If you're not in an accident, you may cause one, by others trying to get out of your way. You may have to go to traffic school, get fined and it may count as points on your driving record. Motto: Don't drink and bike!
