I would be open to any books, audio or video about Buddhism. I am especially interested in hearing how Americans practice it, with so little access to Buddhist centers of learning. (I live in the Bible Belt.... Nearest Buddhist center is 3 hours away...)

I realize you don't need the centers to practice, but some sense of sangha would be nice......

Rather than go to websites setting out Buddhist beliefs and practices I prefer to focus solely on the teachings of the Buddha himself and meditate on their meaning and how they can be applied to my life. The gospel of Buddha can be found at the following site.
