while you're chewing it, it causes the saliva glands in your throught to make saliva. wich when you swallow the saliva that starts making your stomach work a little harder . not much but a little. When you swall gum it can block you up because it is made up from chemicals that the diegestive track can not digest. wich could cause problems with your organs like the liver or kidneys. it can also cause problems with your bowel track because the gum can stick to the walls of that track system. Then you could end up in the hospitle for blockeges in the bowels or other problems.

DUMPLINGM IS WRONG:

Stimulating saliva production is not all.

It also stimulates production of gastric juices, at least initially.

It also can cause gas, as you tend to swallow more air when you chew gum.
