this is a stretch, in view that i'm no longer a vet, yet i understand something about human eyes. In people, dry eye is brought about through an imbalance interior the layers of the tear movie. The tear movie that protects the cornea (the outer, sparkling membrane of the interest) is surely made from 3 layers: a sticky mucus layer that clings the tears to the cornea, a liquid layer ("crying" tears), and a lipid layer, which acts like an oily seal to maintain the liquid tears from drying up. In people who conflict through from dry eye, that's worry-free for the plica semilunaris to redden, swell, or sense itchy. This fleshy bit on the exterior nook of your eye is regarded because the vestigial remnant of the third eyelid in people. So, my knowledgeable guess is that perchance your cat is tormented by some variety of dry eye. the three tear layers are produced through diverse sorts of glands, so drugs for people help the glands produce the right volume of tears. i don't have a clue what you would do for a cat, yet there is my 2 cents!
