I'm Christian if this helps define my question. Whether you believe he is real to you or not doesn't tickle my fancy, I was just curious.

The actual truth can be found right in Mohammaads own writings (dictations, as he could not read nor write).

Mohammaad had a vision, this vision concerned him and he did not know if it was from God or the Devil. He told his wife (at the time he had only one wife) about the vision and his concern and confusion as to whom sent him the vision.

His wife convinced him that the vision was from God, and that he should believe the vision.

Any other prophet we read about in the bible never questioned if their visions were from God, they knew who sent them the vision. Paul even asked whom he was being spoken to by.

This is the biggest proof that we have that Mohammaad was duped, first by the vision and then by his wife.

Yes, Mohammaad did believe in Abrahams God and the coming of the Messiah, he let his vision and his wife mess up that belief to the point that on his death bed, he stated very clearly that he did not know if Allah would let him into heaven.

Well Muhammad was a real man but I do not believe he was much of a prophet. His life history chronicals lots of violence and behavior unbecoming of a prophet. But the Muslims believe in hin so respect should be given to their beliefs. so is Muhammad(PBUH) a fake?we may never know.

Who ever stated that Muhammed changed into pretend? He turned right into a real human being who positively created the Koran. lots of the Koran is an outstanding e book and facilitates Muslims: even with the indisputable fact that, the element on Jihad is an abomonation and may be afflicted from the e book. No holy e book ought to contain instructions on a thanks to kill fellow human beings, infidels or no longer. even with the reality that Muhammed killed many human beings in his day he turned right into a smooth guy who loved toddlers (so it truly is been stated). He wasn't a pretend.
