since you said that he is in your tuition class, find a time when he is alone and say that you dont understand a subject or something and ask him if he could explain it to you, then slowly start a conversation.

Tuitions are same as Tutorial classes, people spend extra money to join those classes to get extra dose of pratice exams, practice problem and general review of the subject, it could be one on one or mass learning. In this case the classes conducted has at least two pupils.

just observe his each and every moment in ur tution and ........
now start interrupting in dis way........
answer him indirectly by involving into his conversation with others...........i mean when he ask others any questions.......u go ahead and answer dem...............
