I've upped my protein intake and have been breaking out more. Do my breakouts have anythign to do with the extra protein?

Protein itself doesn't cause acne. How do you take in the protein? Shakes? Bars? Meat? Maybe it's one of the byproducts to your new diet that causes the acne.

Protein intake has nothing to do with getting acne (pimples) Since you are increasing protein you may become constipated which blocks your elimination channels and can lead to toxins coming through your pores.Make sure you are balancing your protein with vegetables and lots of water to prevent dehydration and help your system to eliminate wastes.Check for food allergies as well.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

No, it has no side effects unless you seriously overload your body with it. Also adding protein to your diet doesn't make it unclean.

usually... there's no outbreak due to increase in protein... you only have outbreak if you've increased you testosterone intake. meaning if your taking muscle enhancing supplements
