Does anyone know the name of a kit, sold in drug stores, that can get rid of the color you applied onto your hair?

You can wash it out depending on how permanent the dye was. Read the box you used and see if it says 'lasts through 10-15 washes or something of the like.

Of course if it's permanent it'll only fade a bit with washing. Your only hope is to have a professional dye it back. Bleach is hard on your hair and will only make matters worse so I wouldn't try that.

One tip: when my hair came out too dark I got the dye to fade somewhat closer to my original color by washing it over and over in swimmer's shampoo. That stuff is made to strip chlorine from your hair and it'll take some of the dye too.

Go to any SALLY'S beauty supply..... I was just there the other day and in the aisle with hair coloring, there is a hair coloring removal serum.. I don't think it was more than $10- 15.
