I have some family functions coming up and they are really important events. I have gained like 10 lbs. and in all the wrong places. I don't have alot of free time and need to do something quick. If anyone thinks of something, it would be greatly appreciated.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

It can be done but it will be mostly water and not fat. I've done it plenty of times. It depends on how overweight you are too. The more you weigh the faster you'll lose. Just eat 1200 p/d and excersise at least for 1 hour p/d. Don't be surprised if you end up gaining it all back though. Crash dieting will do that. To prevent regaining just adopt a healthier way of eating and excersise daily. If you are truly oveweight that means you're health habits must not be that great to begin with. True healthy weight loss takes time.
By the way 3500 cals equals 1 pound of fat. To lose 10lbs of fat you would have to burn 35,000 calories. Also when you excerise you don't burn only fat calories, you also burn sugar.
The only permanet solution for maintaining a healthy weight is a life long healthy eating and excersise plan.

No carbs. No starch. No sugar. No fat. Have only protein & vegetables. Drink tons of water. 10 glasses a day. Minimum. Drink it even when you're not thirsty. If you force yourself to drink enough water it makes you too full to have too much food! Have tiny meals all through the day (small snacks like celery or a piece of cheese) instead of a big meal. Aerobic exercise couldn't hurt either. Get your blood pumping. Go for a long walk. Do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.

Good luck!

I did with the south beach diet! It works really well and you dont have to exercise much either! Phase one has an aver of 8-13 lbs. weight loss in the 1st 2 weeks! I actually felt better after it because the food was more filling and you dont have to buy food from the company, they just tell you what you can get from the grocery store.

Losing weight in one week

Losing weight is difficult. But here I am introducing you some tips to lose a small amount of weight in a healthy that that is also within a week.

Steps to losing weight fast

* Get a set of small hand weights, 3, 5 or 8 lbs.

* Do five to ten minutes of weight lifting for a half an hour after each meal. Lie on your back and slowly lift yourself up with weights in each hand. Do this daily for the full seven days.

* Before or after you take a bath or a shower each day, do five minutes of jogging in place, your weights in hand.

* Do not eat greasy foods. Drink only water and fruit juice. Eat a portion of vegetables at every meal.

* In the morning try to eat fruit. Do NOT dump heaps of sugar on your cereal.

* Follow this regimen for seven days and you will see results.

* Take time to cook, Make food look appealing; don't be afraid to try new things. If you're not sure how to prepare or eat things you can go on an online search engine (such as google) and look how recipes and how to eat things.

* It is a shown fact that one of the "weight loss tips" is not true, many of us believe that if we eat late at night the food turns directly into fat. This is only a myth, food is stored all day into fat, it has nothing to do with time. Make sure you eat a lot of protein, this is important because if you don't have enough protein in your diet you will lose muscle and not fat.(Muscle will be burned but not as much). And finally have fun with it! Make up a dance or jump rope to music, getting active doesn’t mean boot camp!

Quick tips

* Eat plenty of vegetables with each meal.

* Drink plenty of water

* Before buying any food, look for carbs, calories and sugar in the ingredients. You'll want to cut down on all three.

I lost 12 pounds in 10 days this summer and have been able to keep it off. I maintained a healthy diet, but cut down on breads, pastas, rice, and potatoes. I drank only water. I exercised daily (approximately 30 minutes of aerobic exercise a day, plus some stretching and weight lifting). The pounds came off and stayed off.

If your'e willing to gain it all back, try the cabbage soup diet. It works but you'll gain the weight right back but for the meantime you'll have lost the weight. I lost about 4 lbs in 5 days but other people claimed to have lost up to 10 lbs. in 7 days. It's all water weight.

ok, for the next 2 weeks, eat omly friuts and veggies, if anything. if you like your salads with dressing or cheese, then do that, but make sure bothof them are fat free. Also try and drik 10 glasses of water ech day, if you go somewhere with stairs, go up and down them 2-3 before you go where you need to go. if you sit at your desk all day, just move your foot up and down to burn some extra calories.
