Dye your hair FIRST. THEN, cut it.
I get my hair dyed and cut at Aveda--and that is ALWAYS the order they do it in. I've been to several different salons as well as beauty institutes, and that's the way the professionals do it =).

If you are cutting is shorter then do it before dying so you save some money on dye. If you are only cutting a little off then it doesn't matter. It is not necessary to cut your hair before dying.

if ur wanting to dye and cut ur hair 2 get a new look then i would cut my hair first. that way if u dont like the color u have it wont b hard to change. jus remember not 2 dye and straighten and curl or whatever 2 much b/c u could end up frying ur hair. thats not fun. if ur wanting to know if should cut ur hair 1st b4 dyeing it then u dont haft2. jus trim of the split ends like person b4 me said. good lookin out!!!

At the haidressers they colour then cut but I don't think it matters. At least if you cut first you are only dying the hair that is wanted.

noooo!!! better solution is to cut your hair after dying because your hair will be little bit damaged on the end from the colour ...and then you just to cut it and your hair will be healthy again :-)

ALWAYS cut it AFTER to trim away any overprocessed ends. Remember your ends are always gonna be drier than the top or middle section of hair. Thats how they do it in a top notch salon.

Depends on how much you plan on getting cut....if you are just trimming the ends, then you don't have to....
But if you are getting 3 or more inches taken off then yes, you should cut your hair first....Otherwise, you are just wasting money on hair coloring.
