I am so unclear, but i want to set that boundary

we have gone out on 3 dates

Should i ask her where we stand

on the 1st date we got very intimate

and on our 2nd date we kind of slowed it down because we were at a formal setting

shes not dating anyone

and we make eachother smile a lot

there is no date limit. i mean you just have to talk to her about. consider how long you have known her. how long you been talking to her an the phone. how she feels about you. when you answer those questions and you are feeling confident that you want to be her man. talk to her about it and tell her how you feel. and most important ask her what she wants.

i would not push the issue right now...be thankful for the dates you are having and concentrate on enjoying the time with him and that he enjoys his self too...do not be in such a big hurry...it will be known later if you two will be a couple or not...i have dated this guy over 4 months and i just now know that he is to possessive for me...so just slow down....

go out on a fourth date and say casually, well it looks like you're my girlfriend. Is that ok with you?

If she agrees then congratulations, you're a couple.

If she doesn't then ask her if she would like to get to know you a bit more before making a decision, then ask her again at date 9 or 10

There is no exact number, its different for everybody. Personally, I think 3 dates is too soon to try and 'define' your relationship. Why not instead just keep seeing each other and see where it goes.

It all depends on the couple. You could ask her where you stand.
