I need a lot of examples 'cause I'm gonna go on a vegeterian diet for a few months (for health reasons, not 'cause I'm a save-the-animals nut!)

Lentils and beans. In Pakistan and India, lentils are called daal and is said to be poor men's meat. There are all kinds of daals available in Pakistan and India. Yellow, green, red, white and black are some colors. These are easy to cook. Ofcourse you have soya beans. Also peanut butter and other nuts.
You can find some lentils here also. You can also eat yogurt and cottage cheese., these have proteins also. Beans have a lot of fiber, so u can lose weight also. Beans, black, navy, pinto and all different kinds, u can cook in crock pot overnight.

Soy beans are the only vegetable source of complete protein, but you can get all the amino acids you need by combining different types of vegetable. E.g., grains, nuts, legumes. Avocados also have protein, but you have to combine them with another source.

I've been a vegetarian for about thirty-five years and I'm exceptionally healthy. I do not take any vitamins or food supplements.

ORGANIC VEGIES AND FRUIT. a must with raw nuts and all foods you eat. raw not toasted or roasted. then a WHOLE FOOD SUPPLEMENT not a vitamin. Alive! in a white bottle with a yellow cap. It has everything you need. check the back of the bottle. go to a health food store. good luck. :-)
