The whole bathroom has tiles. The top tiles are white and the bottom are aqua. There's one section of the tiles that are black. The toilet, soapdish, toothbrush holder are black. I purchased a black shower curtain, rug, toilet seat cover and towels, but that is getting boring to me. Any suggestions?

Yellow or pink as an accent might be nice. When I pick a color scheme I like to think of what I can find in nature that matches the colors. When I think of aqua and black I think of some really gorgeous insects such as butterflies etc. You might want to add some pink and purple and bring in some butterfly pictures and notions such as that. Aqua, white, and black also make me think of the arctic with penguins! If you have any kids or are generally fun and whacky you could go with a whole winter/penguin theme. A snowy mountain kind of thing might be nice too if you don't like "animal" themed bathrooms. My mother-in-law had an aqua tiled bathroom and she did it up in a beach theme. She added a lot of wicker, tan, and seashells and it looked surprisingly lovely and elegant. My mother actually changed the color of some tiles she didn't like in a bathroom with paint once! Any hardware store could direct you to the appropriate paint for that. You could actually sponge some tile paint on the tiles and toilet (exterior), get a new toilet seat and go anyway you want. A drastic solution would be to buy a new toilet. You can get a simple white one for less than $100 and it isn't rocket science to install it. Rent a book from the library and see if you feel capable of it! The black accent tiles can then practically be ignored or used just for small touches in the soap dish etc.

What kind of mood do you want in the bathroom? Ignore the black tiles and create a mood.
Ocean mood add light blues and a sandy beige.
For a spa retreat add light greens and a sandy beige.
For a dramtic look go with reds or purples. However this will make your room look heavy unless you choose lightweight fabrics to incorporate.
For a more feminine feel use pinky rose or a creamy peach both with aqua will feel light and airy if you use light and airy fabrics.
For a more stutle look use the aqua color in curtins, scatter rugs and accessories or chose bright aqua fabrics and accessories and jazz it up!
Good luck I hope you find the mood you are after.

A light yellow would look nice with aqua. I think I'd put the black away and try and brighten up the bathroom some. If you take some pictures of the tiles or better yet, even have a couple extras handy, you could take them with you and shop around for items to match your bathroom. Bed, bath and beyond has a lot of choices and Target also has a lot of choices on their bathroom isles. Good luck and have fun!

Aqua is a good color to work with! you can cheat a little go to the paint section of your store, and get one of those color cards, you can find the color of tile you have and you can compar the color of the tile to any thing you are looking at!!!

any light color should look ok! but it all depends on the person some people might have differnt taste!

Put all the black stuff away for awhile and choose a new color. I'd look at something that would blend well with the aqua, that could be pink or a rose color. Your choice.

I like what you've done, but I know that you can get tired of the same thing after a while. I think red or yellow might work too, depending on the shade. Maybe you can hang a picture that will tie all the colors together. Good luck.

Starting with white, black, and aqua I would throw in a sunny yellow shade for accent.

Get rid of the black, it is too drab. try introducing some lavender, plum or yello. These go well with aqua and white.

Silver bathroom accessories.
Or if you can find something that resembles the swirls and varigations of a turquoise stone, that'd look awesome as well.
