Okay this is what is going on.... For the last couple of mths I have had UTI quite a bit and recently I thought I had another but I was like forget it and now for the last 2 days I have been having a BAD ache under my left rib and sometimes it shoots through to my back. Along with this I have freq. urine and dark smelling urine I also DO NOT feel good I feel like I have the flu. But I have NO fever? Could this be a kidney infection? Should I go to urgent care, because it is a weekend or wait til Monday to see the dr? Thanks!!!

It most definitely could be a kidney infection, or a kidney stone. I think it would be prudent to go to urgent care and have it seen to .

The pain you describe sounds like renal colic, which is one of the worst pains there is.

Get going and get some treatment now.

Good luck to you!

(Ignore what luvblis says. You could lose your kidney from an easily treatable infection, or suffer with a stone getting so big it requires surgery. Cranberry juice will make some stones worse. Go to a real doctor now)

Yeah, that sounds like a kidney infection. You really need to go to the doctor and get some antibiotics. I've had kidney infections before, and they usually happened after a few months of seeminly constant UTI's.

Cipro is a pretty good antibiotic; that's what knocked it out for me. But you really have to make sure you take the entire course of treatment.

If you've had recurring UTI's it could be a kidney infection sounds like you need not waste time here and take yourself to the first available professional who can diagnose your problem before it worsens.

There should be a leaflet inside the box that tells you about the possible side effects, have a read and see what it says. Some antibiotics you take with food, some before food so make sure you follow the guidelines as instructed.

That doesn't sound good. The dark urine is a sign that something is wrong. You should see or talk to a MD asap.
