Well, it certainly seems apparent which side of the issue you come from. But, you have misrepresented something in your initial question. Christian prayer is not now, nor has it ever been banned from schools. What is not permitted is prayer lead, originated or sanctioned by the school administration or faculty and this includes prayer based on any religion, not just Christian. As a matter of fact, most schools are now including a moment of silence after the pledge of allegiance which can be used for prayer if the individual student wishes. So, the seemingly obvious answer to your questions is "No.". The banning of Christian prayer is not responsible for misbehavior, since Christian prayer was never banned.
I fear however that I have over stepped my bounds as you also asked for the views of only those who agree with your premise, even though the premise is without merit or support.
If you really want to get at the heart of the misbehavior, look to the values being taught in the home. Are children there treated as valued members of the family, or as accessories to mommy and daddy's corporate culture? Which comes first the family or the career? Do you spend as much time raising your children as you do managing your investment portfolio? These are by far the more key questions to be asking.

No.
1. If a child is from a fundie home, he may feel the need to push his beliefs on someone else. Where do you think all that gay bashing in school came from?
2. People have got to stop blaming the schools. It's the parents's fault if the child is misbehaving. The parents should teach decent values instead of using school as just a baby sitter.
3. Some parents abuse their kids, thus creating agressive minds.
If anything, prayer in school would cause things to be worse. If a student is an atheist, he may be discriminated against from his peers and teachers. The same thing would happen to a student of a different religion. Would you want a prayer from a religion foriegn to you in school? We should just keep the school as professional and universal as possible.

I don't think it is the fact that prayer isn't allowed in school is the only reason that children are misbehaving. I do think it is a symptom of an overall disrespect for God and authority that began with outlawing prayer in school. Madelyn Murray O'Hare began the downslide with her act of taking the prayer issue to the Supreme Court. From there the "separation of church and state" has consistently been successfully misconstured to mean that nothing having any Christian undertones is not allowed in anything run or controlled by the government, be it prayer in school, the 10 commandments appearing in courthouses, or Nativity scenes on state house lawns. That was not the meaning of "separation of church and state" as proscribed by our forefathers. They didn't want the government to force people to ascribe to a certain denomination. Having Christmas carols sung at a school assembly, or a student give praise through prayer at a school graduation ceremony doesn't force anyone to become Christian.
Once these things became ridiculed in public and disallowed, disrespect for Christians began to run rampent. God was not allowed in public. Church was central to families and the focus to respect in America.
From there, discipline in schools declined as schools were challenged by parents about the right to punish children who misbehaved. Parents were challenged by children about their right to punish them for their misbehavior.
The whole concept of taking responsibility for ones actions has become unpopular. And, if one looks back to the point at which all this began to appear in America, it coincides with removal of prayer in school.

I think that prayer is school should have stayed there. It was wrong for those who had it taken out to do so. All religions have prayer of some sort. It would not infringe on the rights of others if a moment of prayer was done. They do not have to pray if they do not want to. They can sit there quietly and when the time is up...things go on normally...why do you think they have prayers at the poles during the school year....It gives the kids that want to the chance to do so...it is important to them.
ON the stance of misbehaviors in school because of no prayer...I do not think so. I think that is the common errors of parents that are not disiplining the kids at home. I know there are a few exceptions to the rule when a parent does but the kid decides to be bad anyway.

NO! Christian prayers have no business in schools. The USA has too many religions and no one religion should be pushed.
Children are misbehaving because their parents do not make them behave. Then, teachers are not allowed to, as the parents have a fit. Kids can pretty much do as they want. It is the fault of the adults.

a friend of mine stated, " as long as there are tests in school there will always be prayers. " the children are not misbehaving because of Christian Prayers not being said but rather because of other factors. there are many reasons however one of these is because the teachers are prevented from disciplining disruptive behavior in the classroom.

I think that question too complex to be that simple an answer. Some children aren't challenged enough so they are bored and act out. The teacher who has a class probably larger than he or she should does not have the availability to give that child the extra attention and educational stimulation they need.
Some are just clowns and l think want attention for the sake of it. I did not grow up with prayer in school and I think the majority of us did just fine without it.

First, prayer _is_ allowed in school, so long as it's non-disruptive, completely voluntary, and neither instigated nor encouraged by public employees.
Second, children misbehave for a number of reasons but I suspect that lack of prayer is not on the list.

I don't think the two are conected, but I can garuntee that prayer is still in schools just has to be kept more quiet.
Kids are misbehaving because parents no longer want to teach their kids they want them to sit in front of the tv and be quiet.
