People can talk to themselves whether anyone is listening or not (including themselves)... :)

You can talk to yourself in the middle of a crowd.
The operative word is "to". If you are not talking "to" or with someone, including God, you are talking to yourself.

Its like this...
GOD knows everything and he is EVERYWHERE at ALL TIMES... I mean hey, he's God...
There is nothing that you can hide from him or nothing that he doesnt know... So if you operate under that belief, then he does hear you when your alone.
BUT. If your not talking to him but just talking, for example saying to yourself, "I like those shoes". That comment wasn't directed to GOD. He heard you but You were still talking to you, not GOD.
