I live in East Texas but am willing to travel. We have been going to Dallas/Fort Worth area looking. I prefer a stable neurologist that the SAME doctor sees him each time and not student doctors.

Call the provider department of the HMO your son has and request a book of accepted docs in your area then call each one and see when the next appointment is and if they still accept medicaid. If you still have problems call your state senators office and complain, alot of my patients have this problem and the senator's office can call and get you an appointment and/or a doc that will see you quick. Good Luck!

It helps to know a location. Where do you live? How far are you willing to travel? John Hopkins has some great neurologists.

Your medicaid card should have a # on the back that you can call to ask such questions. Also, it should've come with a booklet with a list of Dr.s that accept medicaid.
