The BBC programme "Revelations" last week highlighted that belief in "end time" was destroying our world because global warming and disasters are supposedly ordained by God and the UN is the Anti-christ and must be got rid of.
This coming from a fundamentalist belief that the bible is the actual word of God rather than a God inspired work written by men (which is the truth) and considering the enormous political influence of these Christian fundamentalists on the government of the USA which is destablising the world with its military crusades. Is the real enemy of the world the Bible Belt and what can we do to marginalise these right wing fundamentalist crack pots???

We should really feel sorry for these ill-educated morons (no, not mormons). They aren't capable of reading and understanding theological works so they relya on these smarmy profit minded pastors who'll do anything at all to encourage larger audiences.
The first thing should be to improve the education system and take it's control away from these people. The pastors should either be cured or eliminated as they remain a clear and present danger to society, as bad as the mohommedans.
Children of fundamentalists should be removed from the influences of corruption and religious pornography at an early age - there's plenty of people wanting to adopt children who could give them a decent, civilised upbringing.

I understand where you are coming from and to a certain extent I agree that the Bible Belt is a very restrictive and destructive place to live. But I think nuking it is a bit extreme. Not everyone who lives there is a Bible-Basher.

I don't think the answer is to nuke anyone. Fundamentalism (extreme fundatmentalism in particular) must be exposed for what it is and ultimately thrown down. If it continues to infiltrate politics and civil policy, then we are headed back to the stone age in some respects.
