For me,

Faith: I believe in God and Jesus - I know they are real, I know Jesus died for my sins and all things are possible through them. I know Jesus is coming Back...

Faith is the BELIEF in God/Jesus and their ability.

Trust: I trust in Gods word. I trust in his path for me. I trust that if I live right and have faith I will live a fair life and go to heaven.

Trust is the human application of Faith, it must be worked on and developed. Trust is how hard you stand on your faith... WHICH ISNT ALWAYS EASY

Trust is usually defined as being based on experience. A lot of theists try and get around the fact that their faith is groundless by coming up with arguments like 'you atheists have faith, you have faith in an aeroplane when you fly, you have faith that when you drink tap water it's not poison' etc, but they are really talking about trust - one would trust that tap water was not poison for a whole plethora of testable, evidential based reasons. But faith in an invisible, non-reactive entity does not require any evidence or logic at all, which I guess is why it is popular with a certain mindset.

In my opinion, faith and trust are different. Faith means that you believe that Jesus and God exist. You can believe that they exist, but still not trust that they are watching over you. You have to think in your mind that everything that happens to you happens because God wills it. That doesn't mean not to take control of situations, live your life and make decisions, but the things that are out of your control (good and bad) you need to accept because that is God's will. Trust in God and Jesus, even when your life seems bad, never lose hope.

there is in reality one God who's Jehovah! even with the reality that there are a approach of distinct biased variations of god such as Christianity (because Jesus isn't God)! one aspect i love about the Baha'i faith is they remember on a destiny Messiah as do the Jews and Muslims(and per chance some others)! they remember on both Jesus and the destiny Messiah who's in Zechariah 4 & Rev. 11. Christianity is pretend because they imagine that Jesus is the in reality Messiah!

My personal belief and opinion - having raised as a catholic, studied in a catholic school for 12 years before college: Faith is BELIEVING IN HIM (Christ) while Trust is BELIEVING HE WILL DO YOU GOOD.

Faith and Trust in Jesus is the same. You believe in Christ and so you trust him. You can not have faith without trust.

Trust, however, is usually crushed when un-manageable trials are encountered. Thus, with shallow faith, and a crushed TRUST, faith dwindles.

Have FAITH in him and TRUST that whatever happens to you ( but you have to do your part) it will be for good -eventually:, and maybe indirectly.

NO. They are different. When you have TRUST you already have the FAITH. When you have faith you will eventually trust. You can't have one without the other. When you trust in the Lord, that means you already have faith in him. Faith is all about your desire to come close to the Lord. Seeking, asking and praying. Prayer should be like the breaths we take, it should come out naturally.

I think faith and trust go hand in hand, to have faith in Jesus you must be able to trust Him, not ourselves, we have faith in a lot of things like the chair we sit in that it won't collapse, we can also trust the chair to support us. I think if you believe in Jesus, you must trust Him and have faith that He will lead you along life's way.

I'm not a christian but still want to say sumthng: Faith means to beleive in His sanctity, supremity and belvng that the path shown by Him is correct(pious) and we can rise by following His guidelines.
Trust means that we can perform all our duties & works without any worry. By trust in Him we can live our lives wihout thinking of the aftermaths of our deeds. But one should have both Trust&Faith in Him. So that we can belv in His Supremity & walk in the path shown by Him but we can also perform our duties towards the humanity & God without any woes and without thinking of the results. Good Luck To All. Ames Dias(India)

Christian Faith is not Blind Faith -- as is sometimes alleged by anti-theists.

Christian Faith is Trust in Jesus/ God.

Such Trust develops over time, as we walk in daily relationship with the Christian God, and we see his character and his love in action in our lives.

The word Faith means something different in our society compared to what it meant in the New Testament... Today's word faith = blind faith; New Testament word "faith" = Trust that is consistent with reason and evidence.

Consider the phrase, "Without Faith we cant please God". That phrase is better understood in today's language as "without Trust we cant please God" (or "if we do not have a willingness to trust God, we cant please him".)

"Without Trust, we can't please God." I.e., we can not walk in a daily relationship with God without learning to trust him; and when we come to God in the first place, for relationship with him, we have to be willing to provisionally trust him -- since up to that point we may not have had any recognition of his love or his character or his actions in our lives.

Cordially,
John

trust is an element of faith... without trust, acceptance of the truth would be lost. and without acceptance, faith becomes a void. that is when beliefs become your substance in life....
