Yes this is the worse time to breed her. It's like a 12 year old girl having a baby. It'll stunt her growth and will put pressure on her alreay weak back! I'd abort the pups and spay her right away. Dachshunds are one of the breeds that need to deliver with a c-section($2000plus).

I would take her to the vet. They shouldn't breed until they are 2 years. As for mini dachshund needing c- sections, mine had her first litter of pups April 28th 2006. She had 5 pups(4 females 1 male). She delivered like a trooper, no problems, knew right away what to do and they all survived with no problems. She turned 3 years in May.
My 2 Year old is now in heat and hopefully we will have puppies again.

I think you should let her have the puppies. If you think she is pregnant, but aren't sure, you should let her have them. If you would have known when she got pregnant, and if she was for sure pregnant, maybe you wouldn't let her have them.I DO NOT support abortion!!!!! Abortion is Murder!!!!!The reason I say maybe not let her have them is because, the dog she might have been bred with, could have been too big of a dog. If it was too big of a male dog, it could kill her during labor.... check with your vet maybe? If you get rid of the puppies now, it might hurt her, because the puppies might already be developing. Getting rid of puppies when they are developing is VERY dangerous for the dog because it could mess up her insides so much, that you might have to put her down. Let her have the puppies and let me know how it goes.

Call your vet. Get her spayed. The earlier, the better. Having a set of puppies is way more dangerous than spaying. And, you won't be adding to the already huge pool of dogs that will never have a forever home. Do it today, sweetie. And don't listened to the idiots who will be telling you you are killing a bunch of lives. Rest assured these dogs will be put down anyway, either by you putting them in the pound, or someone else putting them in the pount. 80% of all dogs never have a forever home. Guess what that means?????? They are put to sleep in pounds. Call your local animal shelter if you don't believe me. Volunteer your time, too. If you think puppies are a joy, see the end of their lives.......

I would think 9 months would be too young, ask a vet for the best and safest solution!

she's too young to have puppies!!! I would talk to your vet, get a pregnancy test done, and if she is pregnant, get your vets opinion. If not, then get her spayed. if she is pregnant, be prepared for frequent vet visits and quite possibly emergency delivery. if she has pups, get her spayed as soon as the vet says it's safe.

You should have raised her with more morals...what a party girl she is! *giggle* just kidding....

I'm not sure if this is bad for her or not. Ask your vet, they'll give you really good advice.
