Yes I know How You feel, I also like to chat with my dog, and every other dog I meet on the streets, and then I found out that actually they also don't understand what you're saying by bark.
They will understand you by you body language including the kind of sounds that you produces.
You can tell your dog not to do something with the word 'No' or 'Yes', but it depends on your intonation, body language, everything including what your mind sets...
