I would say that it would be more beneficial for you to go out of your country and get a really good education. I know it's going to be hard to leave your family and friends, but you future is more important and it will be hard to adjust at first but you will find new friends and adjust to a new life. Don't stay in your country and suffer for the wrong reasons.

Sahel, first ask yourself how hungry are you for this education? How badly do you want it. If you are in a university that you feel is not up to your expections, I think it would be best to seek your education elsewhere. If this is your first time being away from your family and friends it is understandable that you would be a little anxious and afraid and homesick. But think what you could contribute
to your people with the things you've learned. Think of this as a great adventure one that you will remember for the rest of your life. Think of all the new things you will see and do and all the new friends you'll make. You didn't say what type of education you are pursuing or where the other school is but if you decide to take on this adventure find out everything you can about the people you'll be dealing with, where you can get help for foreign or exchange students to help you get settled and ready for classes. Sometimes when it comes to things that we want we have to do a little sacrificing. I know there's no place like home but sometimes we must leave the nest to test our own wings. You'll be home before you know it. Sahel, whatever your decision is I can only wish you the best from my heart. GO FOR IT!!

My impression is that you would love to go abroad and study but you don't want to feel guilty about doing so. Wherever the heart and mind are in conflict follow your heart, for the mind can always find an excuse for failure whereas the heart never can.

If you are not sure, toss a coin, and then do what you really want to do regardless of what way the coin lands. The action just helps to focus the mind.

Whatever you decide to do, if it is your own decision others will respect it. They might not like it, they may even resent it, but they will come to terms with it.

Obviously you are on the Internet, and it is a great way of keeping in touch at very little expense.

The other problem is your anxiety and it is easy for me to say don't be anxious, but what I can say is research, be prepared. Look out those who have gone before and take their advice

If you have the finances and the ability to go abroad to study at a better university, take the opportunity. You may miss your family, but a lot of universities have exchange programs where you can have an abroad family to help you through your stay. Your future is important and if studying abroad will help you achieve your goals, I say go for it.
