Care packages for the daughter...I still do small ones even though my daughter is now married. Fruit chews, vitamins, midol, lunch box size chips and dips(Walmart aisle by the check out counter) My Mom would send me ravoli, because it was my favorite. For my daughter her favorite thing was fruit bars and granola bars...of course poptarts.

When she was a little thing she loved "my little pony" so I would included one of those. I sent her a green ugly monkey when she was on a missonary trip, and she just adored that...still has it. But her favorite snacks, shower gels, shampoo, washing powder.
New pjs, that's a must, wash them so they smell like home.

It's getting close to Halloween so how about something to decorate her room. Anything from home is a very welcomed and wonderful surprise. My Mom use to bake my brother's favorite cookies, and make him little pecan pies. I am not Betty Crocker, so I did store bought cheese danishs, and snacker crackers.

My daughter enjoyed new earrings, since she couldn't raid my jewerly box. Pictures of the family and friends. Especially new additions of babies and in-laws. A calender with everyone's birthday and anniversaries wrote on it along with their addresses, and a box of cards. Stamps too please, Mom.

I promise you whatever you decide to put in her care package will be cherished and needed. If not practical stuff then for the home sickness she feels from time to time. The pictures and an update letter about family and friends are a must, because they feel left out of the loop being so far from home. Hope I helped with all my rambling, so get those shopping shoes on, and don't forget the camera...

God bless us all.................

Chocolate is a girls best friend. And going away to college is a stressful time.
Laundry soap is a good one too. I run out so often I use shampoo sometimes to wash my clothes.
