Good for the psychologist. ADD and ADHD are so over diagnosed these days. Have a full neurological test done just in case. It could be that behavior modification is needed. Be careful not to reward bad behavior with excessive attention. Make toys, special snacks, TV, video game time, and computer time earned privileges for good behavior. Look into sports activities to allow him to positively use the extra energy. A bit hyperactive is not unusual in a ten year old.

I would get a second opinion from another Dr. Also how big is his classroom at school? You might have to pull him out of that school and have him attend one with less kids, (if that's the case). Sometimes if there is too many kids in the classroom the teacher doesn't have enough control over all of them to give them one on one attention. Lot's of luck to you and your son!

im not good at this but on my experience you need to build up an open communication to your son OR ride his attitude until he opens up with you.

you see poeple like that mostly obey their friends rather than their parents. so if you can be your son's friend you might have the chance to reverse psychology him.

i hope i helped.
