Gift cards from Bed, Bath and Beyond where she can buy what she needs for the house, or a nice set of sheets and towels, you can never have enough.

I wouldn't give anything sentimental. I would give a money card if you can afford at least $100.00. I think everyone could use linens, and household items, but they are pretty boring. Go for a cool piece of art or something funky- yet kid friendly. You could always just give the bride/groom seperate presents. His and hers spa package, or manicures. If they drink, a nice bottle of wine or some sort of alchol gift package. A dinner gift certificate. Check to see if they have a gift registry somewhere. Hope it helps.

Well, I would say money is always a great gift. If you can afford it, $100 would be very generous and I'm sure it would be most helpful considering they already have 2 children.

Otherwise, a gift such as a gift basket full of items they need AND don't need is always nice. Include nice items such as champagne flutes and a bottle of champagne, gourmet cookies/crackers, nice cloth napkins and place mats (very useful), candlesticks, etc. All very nice items that are both useful and items that we tend to not splurge on (esp. if we have children).

Why not offer to watch the children the night of the ceremony? It will be a thoughtful gift that would be appreciated. Or even baby-sitting services for another night to give the couple time to just be together?

If that is not what you want to give; consider giving something the whole family can enjoy together. Something like an ice-cream machine.

Money or vouchers. Sounds boring but I bet it would actually be gratefully received that way if they want something for the house, or DIY or even some new clothes then they can. You could always put a nice engraved photo frame with it as something a bit personal.

I always love the large picnic basket idea. I think for them it would be really nice because they could then use it as a family!

Go in with some other friends or family members if you can't afford a good one by yourself.

I think that was my favorite wedding gift!

Something for thier home is a great wedding present. How about getting a painting done of the couple or of thier children. If you have a photo of them there are places that can paint a potrait using only a photo.

A gift card to go out to eat to a nice restaurant and then an IOU coupon to watch the kids for free! Then they could go out and enjoy themselves.

since they have already set up housekeeping, chances r they don't need much of anything. whenever i've run into this situation, i usually get them a very nice frame for they're wedding photo. or u can always get the never fails gift card for one of there favorite stores.

Gift cards to their favorite store would be good. HomeDepot, Bestbuy, Lowes, Walmart, anywhere they normally shop.
