My boyfriend was in front of me the other day talking to his friend about these other girls he goes to school with and how hot they are. I got really upset because I feel like I am not pretty enough for him. I also cut myself, and ever since he said that I have totally snapped and basically butchered my ankle. He knows how I feel, but I was wondering, if a guy talks like that should a girl take it personal, or was he just stupid for saying that, especially in front of me.

GET OUT OF THIS RELATIONSHIP NOW. He sounds like the kind of guy that will put you down, and make you loose confidence in yourself. A girl should NEVER EVER EVER EVER feel like their not pretty enough for their boyfriend. You need to break up with him and find a guy that will only call YOU beautiful, or pretty, or sexy, or hott. Its not fair that he doesnt that in front of you, I mean sure guys are allowed to look at other girls, as long as they dont touch, and they are allowed to say other girls are hott, but i think doing it in front of you is very inconsiderate of him and it shows he doesnt care about your feelings very much or else he wouldnt do it. If you dont want to go to the extreme of breaking up with him, i would ask him to stop first, and if he doesnt stop, then i would break up with him because honestly he is making you have no self-confidence and EVERY girl needs confidence in themselves. Also, cutting yourself is not safe and to many people, they think it is a way of trying to get attention, dont resort to cutting, it messes up your skin, and it honestly doesnt take the pain away, thats not what you do in order to feel better about yourself. Be around people who make you feel good, or dont make you feel like you have to strive to be someone your not just to make those people like you which it kind of sounds like your doing that for your boyfriend. Stop this relationship, it will only get worse. Good luck.

You shouldn't let something like that bother you. There's always going to be someone hotter than you. It's kind of rude for him to say that in front of you if he knows it bothers you, but you can also turn it around and do the same back to him. Talk about some hot guy you talked to, or make a comment on some other guy in front of your boyfriend. Just don't let it get to you personally. Maybe you should break up with him and find someone who won't make you feel that way. There are plenty of good guys out there.

well first things first. u dont need to cut urslef. i have, i kno the feeling and u shouldnt be doing do that. its not safe or healthy coming from epierence. number 2 i dont want to sound like a ***** or anything so please dont takie it like that.. u have to realize that there are other girls that are pretty and he will think that...but what u have to think is regardless of that fact he chose to be with u..hes with u and not them..that means something, ya kno? so yea it mite have hurt ur feelings which is understandable but he probably didnt think much of it because ur the one he is with ..not them..so maybe u could ask him not to make comments in front of u because it bothers u and im sure he could understand that. good luck.

1st of all just because he thinks other girls are hot, does not
mean you are not pretty enough for him, all guys look. yes, it
was insensitive of him to say that in front of you, so next time
your with your friends mention a guy who you think his abs are
totally hot, or has a cute butt. if he doesn't get the hint, then
dump his sorry butt.

i had the same problem, idk..i dont think u should take it personally, dont ever let someone make u upset like that, and yes, he is stupid 100% for saying that in the first place
