yeah
In Brent ( west London ) we've been doing it for about a year or so now .We started off with newspapers, cans and bottles about five years ago and now from 2005 we get our garden waste ( grass, shrubs, cuttings) and food waste collected.
Once u get used to recycling it's quite easy because as you probably know it's gonna be the norm in the near future.

We've been recycling food in a council-provided bin for at least a year now, and it ends up on a local farm as fertiliser so I'm told. Of course it's good for the environment, there's less wastage going around and more use is gained from the stuff that would otherwise just be thrown away and incinerated. However - in the Summer it attracts fruit flies like crazy, that's the only downside. We keep it outdoors (in the garden) for that reason.

Haha, that ought to be a sprint ironic to try this. i'm genuinely valuable you could recycle plastic, even though it relies upon on the place you bypass to recycle it. Recycling would not constantly recommend melting a steel right down to form a various merchandise, it ought to easily be interpreted as re-utilizing some thing. So in case you address this meaning, you ought to apply a recycling bin distinctive circumstances.

Waste Management in the state of Washington has instituted it in some counties. They have customers include fruit and vegetable waste with their yard waste where they then produce compost to sell back to the consumers. No animal or dairy waste.
I believe it is working slowly but not as successful as hoped since this program is not expanding.
I prefer to keep a container with a lid in my kitchen for fruit and vegetable scraps along with egg shells. I then compost this waste for my own garden. Great if you add coffee grounds to the compost, the worms love it. Just make sure you aerate the compost by turning over the debris everytime you add more waste. The egg cartons are also good to add to the compost since they are mainly cardboard material.
