It's just pixels (not micro-pixels). A million pixels is one mega-pixel.
mega = million
pixel = colored dot

As the others have rightly answered
1 megapixel= a million pixel (10^6)
and THERE IS NO UNIT AS MICRO PIXELS

However if your just feel silly like me (u asking the question and I trying to answer it) and still want to know how many..then it would be 10^6*10^6=10^12 or 1 followed by 12 zeroes...that is how many micropixels you would have in a mega pixel..if the unit existed (Since a micro would be 10^-6)..is my math right?

As others have said, micropixels do not exist. It doesn't make sense at all.

The SI prefix micro does mean 10^-6, but one megapixel is a million pixels in a square. Much like 1 square cm = 100 square mm, there are much more than 10^12 'micro' pixels per 'mega' pixel. I'm not even going to bother trying to calculate it, but it's a ridiculously high number.

There is no metric term micro. It just means small.
