If you use clumping cat litter it can clog your plumming so I'd garbage that kind. If you use regular litter then go ahead and flush. The animal shelter I work at found out the hard way about the clumping cat litter in the plumming. Trust me you don't want to see the pipes back up in a shelter with 30 dogs and 100 cats...

I just buy brown paper lunch bags at the supermarket. I put all the clumps and poo-poos in the bag and put in the garbage. One bag a day is all I use for the six boxes I clean out daily.

I have a 22 year old cat who always goes to the box and doesn't always get her bottom all the way in the box. She has no tail to hang over the side as most cats do. I just pick up poo-poos with a piece of toilet paper - sometimes I flush them down the toilet or I just put them in the bag.

That depends on where you picked it up. Was it on the floor? If so, it can be flushed. But if you're talking about what to do with it after scooping it out of the litter box....it depends on the type of litter you have. Some clumping litters are flushable, but you have to make sure that's the kind you have, otherwise you'll end up with clogged pipes. If it doesn't SAY it's flushable, it's not. I tried the flushable litter once, and it sucked. Major pain lugging the box to the toilet, then litter sprinkled all over from the scoop. I hated it.

For cleaning out my cats' boxes, I take a plastic bag from the grocery store, scoop all the pee and poop into it, then tie it off and throw it in the garbage (I take it straight out to the dumpster so it's not in the household trash, stinkin' up the place even more).

There are also cat waste lockers....I've been thinking about trying one.

Garbage, but not in the house bin, put them in a separate small bag and throw them in the bin outside, or it might smell and even develop bacteria. It is better not to mix cat poo with the toilet you are using.

In the garbage - clean the litter box daily, just before you take out the garbage daily. Makes sense, eh?

pick it up with toilet tissue and flush it. Do not flush paper towels unless you have a plumber in the house!

if you're talking about cleaning out the litter, throw it in the grabage. but if you are picking it up off the floor and the kitty is still litter training, throw it in her catbox so she can get used to the smell being in there.

I have a "special" bag that I put my cat poo in, if that helps.
