What do you mean 'A New Crusade'?????
Haven't you ever read History? Don't you ever read newspaper or watch the news???
We are in a Crusade. It has been happening since the begining of the human civilization.The imperialism by the British on the African and Indian colonies. The Attack of the Muslim terrorists in India plus other Asian countries, the attack on the US on 9/11, the Palestine and Isreal war. The attack on Iraq by Bush.
Would you kindly tell me which new crusade do you wish to see now???
Let these end first, then we will speculate for the next to come.

With modern shipping, the overland trade routes the Crusades were REALLY fought over are virtually meaningless. Most cargo from China or India travels to Europe by boat.
Follow the $$$ (money)
Crusades was financed by European merchants who wanted safer, cheaper trade with India and the Orient. Criminals in the Islamic countries made their living by robbing trade caravans.
